Sandwiches for Crossroads
Sun, July 20 | See options below
Last September, we packed sandwiches for Crossroads, and we're doing it again! Located in Downtown Atlanta, Crossroads has been serving people throughout the area since 1996, and seeks to provide access to resources that empower people experiencing homelessness to progress on the road toward economic and personal stability.
This year, our goal is 300 sandwiches and here's how you can help:
• Bring pre-made sandwiches to the church on Sunday, July 20. Sandwiches should be bread, meat and cheese ONLY (the thicker, the better!) and individually packed in Ziplock bags. The easiest way for Crossroads to freeze sandwiches is to pack the individual Ziplocks in empty bread bags. Please do the same, if you're able.
• Donate money to offset the cost of sandwich supplies. It costs about $1.50 per sandwich, so a donation of $15 would cover 10 sandwiches, $30 for 20 sandwiches, etc. Cash or check given to Allie is preferred. Deadline: Sunday, July 20.
• Stay for a brief sandwich assembly operation after worship on Sunday, July 20.
