Peachtree Road Race Cheer Station

Sat, July 4 | Set Up: 6 a.m. | First Runners: 7:15 a.m.

We're putting a fruity spin on our annual Peachtree Road Race cheer section by passing out refreshing watermelon to runners as they pass! We'll have extra bleachers, free cheer gear from the Atlanta Track Club and the always popular bubble machine. We know it's an early morning volunteer request, but it's a great opportunity to be an encouraging presence for race participants from all over the world. How awesome is that? Help Cut Watermelon! We have 50 watermelons in need of slicing to pass out to runners. George Trusler is looking for early risers willing to be at the church at 6 a.m. on Sat, July 4. Arrive before the race crowd, get the best parking of the day, have a cup of coffee with your church family and help prepare a refreshing treat for our community. NOTE: We'd love for attendees to wear a SPdL shirt or hat, so that our folks stand out to visitors and race participants. Reach out to Jonathan about purchasing one.
