Civilian Response to Active Shooter Training

Thurs, Sept. 17 | 10 a.m. | Fellowship Hall | Cost: Free

Sponsored by the SPdL Personnel Committee, the Atlanta Police Department SWAT Team will lead a one-hour training session (plus time for Q&A at the end) aimed at helping attendees understand the need to create a response plan for homes, businesses and corporate worship environments. Although this initial training will not deal with specific SPdL scenarios, it will begin needed dialogue and training. The session will cover various response options and statistics/current trends in active shooter events. Anyone is welcome to attend, so spread the word!
