The Music Ministry works closely with the Children's Ministry to integrate music into our students' total church experience.

Children's Choirs

The Music Ministry sponsors a fully graded choir program for children ages three through fifth grade. The choirs meet on Wednesdays during the school year. Our Second-Ponce Singers participate in worship services every six to eight weeks, and all children's choirs participate in special presentations at Christmas and in the spring.

Our purpose is to teach children about the love of Jesus through the gift of music. Beginning with preschoolers, children are led to know of Jesus' care for them through singing, dancing, and playing games and instruments. All children will share in Jesus' love through singing and performing psalms, hymns and anthems.

Thank you for participating in the Children's Choir Ministry this year! Remember, attendance is counted each week so that Membership and Attendance awards my be given to everyone who earns them at the end of the choir year. End-of-Year Awards

End-of-Year Awards are earned and presented for the following:

1. A CERTIFICATE will be awarded to each member who completes the choir year.
   
   
2. A BAPTIST HYMNAL will be awarded to each 1st grader in the Music Makers choir, as well as any older child who completes a first year in the Children's Choir Program.
   
   
3. An EXCELLENT ATTENDANCE TROPHY will be given to each child who misses NO MORE THAN 3 rehearsals and worship participations during the choir year.
   
   
4. A PERFECT ATTENDANCE TROPHY will be given to each child who misses NO rehearsals and worship participations during the choir year.
   
   
5. A PERFECT ATTENDANCE MEDAL will be given to each Second-Ponce Singer who misses NO worship participations OR program performances during the choir year.
   
   
6. An 8 YEARS OF SERVICE TROPHY will be given to 5th grade children who have participated in children's choirs since they were 3 years old.
